2008 January, February
- 2008 02: Mantis Shrimp: the only animals with hyperspectral colour vision, 16 different photoreceptor types (humans have only four), colour vision from ultra-violet to infra-red, each individual eye possesses trinocular vision and depth perception, each eye seems to have its own little brain since the information leaving the retina seems to be processed into numerous parallel data streams.

2007, January, February, March
- 30. March 2007: The nice Geogen project shows the distribution of the last name socher in Germany and Austria.
- 18. March 2007: I arrived in Princeton, NJ, USA and began my internship at Siemens Corporate Research, I have already been assigned an interesting project in the field of medical imaging and will soon start working on my master's thesis. I found a room in the center of Princeton, got my rental car, a nice bike and all kinds of things you need when you move somewhere. Photos will follow.
- 21. March 2007: New visitor records on my website: today alone 3,480 pageviews and 230 unique visitors. Since the beginning of this year people from more than 100 different countries have visited this website : Website Statistics
- 24. February 2007: I organized my Vietnam photos and uploaded them: Vietnam (Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Saigon HCMC, My Tho, Can Tho)

2006, October
- 22. October 2006: New photos of my trip to South East Asia (Hongkong).
- 12. October 2006: I switched from my own server with dyndns to a real domain (socher.org) and faster webspace.
- 5. October 2006: I begin my Masters course of study in Computer Science in Saarbrücken.
- 4. October 2006: I received my final Bachelor grade, 1.2 (Bachelor Thesis 1.0).
2006, November, December
- 7. December 2006: All 600 photos of many beautiful tempels in the Angkor area are up.
- 6. December 2006: I have just bought the domain www.socher.eu.
- 23. November 2006: New Version of Synthia and more photos of my Trip To Asia are uploaded.
2006, August
- 17. August 2006: Flight to Hong Kong, my trip through south east China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand starts. I am really looking forward to seeing this part of the world, its people (and peoples), their culture, history and daily life. Many photos will follow.
